I am so excited to start my fourth year at Sierra Elementary . I love teaching, it is my passion! I come from a long line of teachers in my family, so I knew at a very young age that teaching was going to be my future. I got my Bachelors of Arts degree in Child Development at Sacramento State and then continued on to receive my teaching credential in Early Childhood Education.
I met my husband while in college and moved to his hometown after graduating to start my teaching career. There I taught 6th Grade for 5 years and loved that age group tremendously! When my husband and I decided to start our family, I knew I wanted to stay home and raise my children for as long as I could. So for the next 3 years, I stayed home and raised my two little babies: went to library time, had park play dates, discovered museums, and did all kinds of activities like gymnastics, ballet, soccer, and swim lessons! I loved every minute of it!
I have been married to my husband, Brent, for 8 years. Our daughter Alyson (6) is going into First Grade this year at Sierra and she couldn't be more excited! Our son Colin (4) is all things boy! He loves to climb everything, dig in the mud and fix stuff with his tools.
This summer my family and I moved to Roseville! We were so excited to buy a hose with a pool - so we spend most of the hot hot summer days in our backyard. When I'm not in my classroom, you can find me hiking, riding bikes with the family, at the gym, shopping, playing at the park or in the backyard with my kids, or having family & friend BBQ's!
